Born in Hong Kong

Currently lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.

Judy Kong is a Hong Kong-born artist working primarily with time-based media and installation. She is the 2025 artist in residence at the ACMI X programme in the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (Melbourne). She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in Australia.

Her practice explores the complexity of human emotion, cultural memory, and the experience of displacement. Through abstraction and the reassembly of cinematic visual narratives and personal imagination, she transforms video, sound, material, and text into spatial and perceptual experiences.

Her work has been exhibited at the Hong Kong Arts Centre (Hong Kong), Trocadero Project (Melbourne), and First Site Gallery (Melbourne). Her work has featured in The HongKonger (UK), and she was interviewed on the radio show HongKongology on 3CR (Melbourne).
